This public site allows visitors to look at bid opportunities for the City of Sacramento. Simple checkboxes allow listing of bid categories, with links to detailed information about each bid item. The lists can be sorted by column content. Within the bid detail pages, the visitor can email the bid manager, or request additional detailed information about the bid opportunity.

The site is ColdFusion based, using several Access databases on the back end. Forms are used to request bid information or to send email to the bid manager. Bid managers can log into a user/password protected area to enter or change bid detail records, and to upload supporting documents. The bid manager can also use a form to query information about those who have downloaded bid documents, and to send mass emails to those bid information requestors.

CSS styles are used to ensure a common look and feel on each page. The bid page code are wrapped in standardized City templates to allow common look/feel and access to other City pages. These pages have been in use for over 5 years.
