This site was built as an exercise in exploring the use of PHP-based code along with CSS styles. (It also amuses me.) Since it contains 'important global warming information', it is a 'green' site.

The site is PHP based with CSS styles and 'include' files for a common look and feel. The "Tip of the Day" is a randomly-selected item from a text-based file. This allows easy update of the 'tips' by just adding text information to one file. PHP code is used to read and randomly select the "Tip of the Day".

The visitor can purchase their own Carbon Offset Certificate by filling out a simple form and purchasing the certificate through a simple PayPal interface. The entered name is automatically merged into a graphic image, which the user prints out on their own printer.

Other pages contain a FAQ, Terms of Use, and a Carbon Offset News page that uses a Google News query to display current news about Carbon Offsets. Google Adsense is used to display text ads, and social networking links to allow visitors to promote the site.
